EFHWC ESSENTIAL FAMILY HEALTH & WELLNESS

Got a foam roller, percussion gun, or a vibrating gadget and not sure what to do with it? This hands-on session shows you how to match the right tool and technique to your body’s needs—so you actually use what you already own.

What you’ll learn

  • Tools and best uses:
    • Percussion gun — best for deeper layers and dense tissues.
    • Vibrating foam roller — great for large, broad muscle groups.
    • Massage peanut — designed for contoured areas and along the spine.
    • Massage ball — ideal for pinpoint work and trigger points.
  • Techniques to stimulate or sedate the nervous system:
    • To stimulate: quick, variable movements; uneven, arrhythmic percussion or vibration; working across muscle fibers.
    • To sedate: heat; steady, even compression; rhythmic percussion; rhythmic vibration; gentle stretching.

Why it works

  • Your nervous system responds differently to different inputs. Learn how to choose rhythm, pressure, and direction to either wake tissues up before activity or calm them down for recovery.

Come curious, leave confident—with a clear plan for using your tools safely and effectively based on what your body needs that day.
