Toby Benton

NBC-HWC

Toby is a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach and a CDC recognized Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Coach. She is a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition where she was trained in nutrition education and lifestyle medicine. Additionally, Toby has specialty training in both cognitive behavioral therapy and positive psychology specifically to support habit and behavior change.


Toby is passionate about helping individuals mobilize their internal strengths and external resources to develop self-management strategies for making sustainable, healthy lifestyle changes. Since 2017, she has been working with patients in private practice who are managing chronic health conditions including diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune diseases, gut health challenges, and various pain conditions. She also coaches practical selfcare management skills to national patients virtually and delivers education on a variety of topics related to well-being for group visits.


Her coach approach is holistic, addressing all areas of life that affect health including food choices, exercise, stress, sleep, and the mind-body connection. Each session or educational program is tailored to motivate, empower and support patient health goals in a way that works best for them, improving their quality of life and overall happiness.


Orginally from Toronto, Canada, Toby relocated to Scottsdale in 1998. Having worked in the Special Events Industry for 12 years prior to embarking on her health coaching career, she still loves all aspects of planning events including design and decor, meal planning, cooking and table-scaping. For relaxation she enjoys spending quality time with family, travel, being present in nature, gardening, reading and practicing reformer Pilates.
